Located in Cruz Quebrada, Oeiras, the landscape design for this single-family residence is based on the relationship between architecture, topography and the surrounding landscape. The proposal organises the garden across three levels, creating a sequence of intimate spaces, transitional areas, social spaces and a swimming pool positioned to make the most of solar exposure. Vegetation defines the boundaries of the plot, enhancing privacy and providing shelter, while taking on a lighter, more ornamental character in the areas closest to the house. The design draws inspiration from a combination of English garden traditions and the Mediterranean landscape, seeking to establish a harmonious continuity between the house, garden and surrounding territory.
